Principal Software Engineer/Architect - Data and AI - .Net/AWS/SQL (Contract)
Location: Richmond upon Thames, Greater London, England Country: UK Rate: £550 - 600 per day + Inside IR35
Principal Software Engineer/Architect for Data and AI, required by a global media company headquartered in London.
The team is focused on delivering UI dashboards, metrics and KPI Analytics for external clients and requires someone with strong technical skills relating to data presentation in a .NET Core environment, with a strong understanding of UI tools. Architecture experience is essential, but this role will be very hands-on and you will need extensive software development experience, with a blend of the following languages: C#/.NET Core, JavaScript/ReactJS/Typescript, CSS, No.JS, SQL/T-SQL.
In addition you will need to be at Principal Software Engineer level, with 4-5+ years leading technically outside of a scrum/product delivery team. Experience working across 2 or more scrum teams. Technically astute, able to design high level architectures, system design, data flows, critique lower level designs and provide technical assurance. Strong Cloud, preferably AWS, and microservice background is essential. Preferably having worked with Data Products, Python, etc
You will need prior experience as a technical lead across multiple product delivery teams, building web applications, customer facing data products and/or machine learning systems, hosted in a cloud environment (ideally AWS). In addition, you will need experience of developing applications as part of large, globally available platforms. Experience in evaluating and participating in competitive analysis of 3rd party software and services, as well as setting standards and best practices.

This is a long term, 12 month contract, with likelihood of extension, paying up to £600/day, requiring circa 1 day a week onsite in Richmond upon Thames.
